Case study – aloe for chronic eczema in a child.
This case study demonstrates how she helped treat a child with eczema using the natural healing properties of Aloe Vera juice teamed with essential oils and a change in diet.
we regularly treated children and adults but had never dealt with such a severe case as that of a four-year old girl. Almost her entire body was covered and her arms and legs needed to be covered with clothing to prevent scratching, bleeding and the risk of infection. Cortisone cream was prescribed by her doctor.
We suggested daily bathing in spring water to which Dead Sea salt was added, followed with an application of aloe vera juice with a pastry brush over all affected areas.
The child was given regular small sips of aloe vera juice during the day as well as wild blue-green algae.
Initially the eczema worsened, the child and mother persevered and after 6 months changes started to become noticeable. At the same time there was a slow, but drastic change to diet. Initially the child’s intake was particularly high in cow’s milk, dairy products, sweet, sugary foods and drinks and refined white flour products. These foods are often source of allergies or intolerance and are devoid of nutritional value.
When the eczema had settled, we made up a liquid blend of aloe vera juice and essential oils including geranium, German chamomile, juniper, sandalwood, lavender and myrrh which was applied all over the body each night after bathing.
The change in the eczema was significant, estimated to be at least a 90 per cent improvement.
